At Smithfield Christian Church, ministry is a team effort.
While we have a small staff, our mission is carried out through the dedication and leadership of many others—including volunteer ministry team leaders and elders. Together, we are united by a passion to help our church truly Love Like Jesus.

Joe Thompson

Senior Minister

As Senior Minister, Joe provides overall leadership for the church, through guiding its vision, preaching, and spiritual direction. He works closely with staff, elders, and ministry leaders to help SCC love like Jesus in every area of ministry.

Next Gen Minister

As Next Gen Minister, Ben leads our ministries for kids and teens, birth through 12th grade. He creates engaging environments where young people can grow in their faith, builds strong partnerships with parents, and equips volunteers to help the next generation follow Jesus with confidence.

Administrative Director

As the Administrative Director, Beth oversees all the administrative sides of SCC. She also helps people find their calling in ministry by serving within the church.
