Easter at SCC

You’re invited!

Easter is a season of renewal. The weather is warming, plants are budding, the days are getting longer. All of these remind us of the renewal that comes through Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. Celebrate this wonderful and important time with us at SCC by joining us Sunday, March 31, at 9am or 11am for a morning of encouraging music, challenging teaching, and sharing in communion.

And don’t miss the Kids’ Easter Service and classes for birth-5th grade at 11am.

Got some questions?

If it’s your first time at SCC, you are our honored guest. Here are a few frequently asked questions to help you plan your visit.

What will the service be like?

Our Easter services start at 9:00am and 11:00am and are usually about an hour and 15 minutes, featuring a mix of worship elements each week. Our worship music is mostly modern worship songs, but we also mix in some older songs, including hymns at times. Every week we take time to celebrate communion because we feel it’s a foundation for our reason to worship. You can also expect a sermon lasting 30-35 minutes, which will focus on the real message of Easter, the resurrection of Jesus.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable when you join us in worship. Even though it will be Easter, we’ll have people worshipping in t-shirts and jeans as well as suits and dresses. So wear what feels right for you.

Where do I go when I get there?

We have guest parking at the front door. After you come in the front door, you’ll be greeted and if you have children, you’ll be shown our children’s classrooms.

Our feel is casual and welcoming for everyone including those who grew up in the church and those whose first Sunday is Easter.

Will there be things for my kids?

During our 11:00am Easter service, we will have a worship time for toddlers through 5th grade, as well as a nursery. We love kids and have intentionally developed safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative, fun, and relevant way.
