The resurrection of Jesus doesn’t just give us hope for someday—it changes everything about today. Because He rose, your hope is alive, your sin can be forgiven, and your life can be made new right now. Don’t just believe in the resurrection—step into it

Have you ever asked Jesus to fix a problem in your life, only to discover that what He really wanted to do was something deeper? When Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the crowds celebrated Him as the king they wanted—a political rescuer who would overthrow Rome. But Jesus came as the King they needed—a Savior who would forgive their sins and restore their relationship with God. The tragedy is that many people missed it. And the question we face today is the same question they faced then: Will we receive Jesus for who He truly is? The King who came not just to improve our lives—but to forgive our sins and become our Lord.

When you hear the word church, what comes to mind — a building, a denomination, or an event you attend on Sundays? The Apostles’ Creed reminds us that the church is something far bigger and more meaningful than that. It is the people God has called together, redeemed by Jesus, and united by the Holy Spirit. The church isn’t just where we go — it’s who we are.

If you had to explain the Holy Spirit to someone, could you? We say, “I believe in the Holy Spirit,” but many of us aren’t quite sure what that actually means — or what He actually does. The Spirit isn’t a vague force or background character in our faith. He is the active presence of God in us — empowering, transforming, propelling, and interceding.

Do you think much about what the future and the end of all things or do you tend to focus more on the things right in front of you? If you knew with certainty that one day you would stand face to face with Jesus and give an account of your life, how would that change you this week? What would you rethink, reprioritize, or repent of? Judgment Day is not meant to terrify believers—it’s meant to anchor us, clarify us, and prepare us. The One who will judge the world is the same One who died for it.

Why does the Apostles Creed slow us down at the cross and insist on every painful detail? Because our faith isn’t built on symbols or spiritual ideas, but on a real Savior who entered real history, endured real suffering, and died a real death for us.

Who do you really believe Jesus is—and how much does that belief shape your everyday life? Many people know things about Jesus, admire His teachings, or respect His influence. But the Apostles’ Creed pushes us further, using three powerful titles that demand a response. When we say we believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, we are not just stating information—we are declaring allegiance.

What you believe about God will reshape everything else in your life. Genesis 1 reminds us that before anything existed, God already was—and He was not distant or detached. The God who is Almighty speaks order into disorder and moves intentionally toward relationship by creating humanity in His image. Believing in God the Father means trusting that the One who was before the beginning is still actively present, purposeful, and personal in our lives today.

Have you ever felt like you didn’t know how to pray or that your prayers weren’t “good enough”? Many Christians believe prayer is important but feel intimidated by it, as if it requires special words or spiritual expertise. Jesus shows us that prayer isn’t a performance — it’s a relationship with our Heavenly Father. When prayer becomes part of the ordinary rhythms of our lives, it shapes our gratitude, aligns our hearts with God’s will, and reminds us who is really in control.

What is shaping your faith right now—your habits, your schedule, or God’s Word? Our faith often feels fragile not because we don’t love God, but because we aren’t consistently allowing His Word to shape us. Every foundation matters, and Scripture isn’t just information about God—it’s how God forms us, steadies us, and guides us in everyday life. When the Bible becomes a consistent part of our rhythm, it doesn’t just change what we know; it changes how we live, how we decide, and how we trust. A strong spiritual life is never built accidentally—it’s built on the Word of God.

Who is one person in your life that God may already be opening a door for you to influence? Sharing faith was never meant to be complicated or scripted—it was meant to be lived out in real relationships and ordinary moments. Throughout Scripture, God uses everyday people, with imperfect words and simple actions, to point others toward Jesus. The question isn’t whether God can use you; it’s whether you’re willing to be attentive and faithful where He has already placed you.

In our culture today, we love the idea of attracting a crowd. Even within the church, it's easy to get caught up in the numbers game. But we see clearly in Luke 15, that heaven doesn’t erupt in celebration over the ninety-nine who stay—it rejoices over the one who is found. This series isn’t about pressure or programs; it’s about alignment with God’s heart. When we care about the one, we reflect the joy, mission, and love of our Father.

It took only one generation for Israel to forget God because the previous generation failed to pass down their stories of faith. Today, culture still pulls young people away from God unless older believers intentionally teach, model, and invest in them. Each of us has a role in guiding the next generation—by sharing our faith, living it visibly, and supporting children, students, and their families—so that God’s covenant continues from generation to generation.

Have you ever tasted something so good you immediately said to someone, "You’ve got to try this"? That’s the invitation of Psalm 34—to experience God’s goodness and then share it with others. Joy doesn’t shrink when shared; it grows and spreads. And at Christmas, we get to share the joy that began the night Jesus came for all people.

What are you planning to wear this Christmas? We spend time choosing sweaters, outfits, and the perfect Christmas photo — but Christmas is about what Jesus wore for us. He wore flesh to be with us, a servant’s towel to show us the way, a crown of thorns to save us, and now He wears glory as our risen King. When we wear love, we reflect the One who wore love first.

Have you ever given something away and realized it changed you more than the person you gave it to? Giving isn’t just about generosity—it’s about discipleship. When we give intentionally, consistently, and cheerfully, we’re declaring our trust that everything we have belongs to God and that He will provide all we need.

Have you ever had something you knew you needed to let go of—but you just couldn’t? Maybe it was a possession, a relationship, or even a plan you made for your future. The harder you tried to hold onto it, the more it seemed to hold onto you. That’s the grip of greed. It’s subtle, and it doesn’t just affect people who are rich—it affects all of us when we trust in what we have more than the One who gave it.

Generosity is more than just giving, but giving in a way that impacts a life. God's character is the very essence of generosity. Throughout the scriptures we can see him giving in a way that changes lives. We have the calling and the opportunity to be a people of the same kind of generosity.

Do you ever feel like you want to take a big step forward for God, but you're not sure what that looks like? This week we take a look at the life of Abraham and see how God called him to obedience, even though his plan and next steps weren't clear. We'll explore some critical characteristics of faithfully following God as we consider how God might be leading us as individuals and as a church.

Have you ever said something you immediately wished you could take back? Words have incredible power—to wound or to heal, to divide or to unite. James reminds us that the maturity of our faith is measured not by how much we know, but by how we speak. In a world fueled by outrage and quick replies, followers of Jesus are called to a different way—one that reflects heaven through peace-filled, gentle, and wise speech. Our words can either set fires or sow peace. The choice is ours.

Have you noticed how quickly we forget who we are and what God has done for us when people get difficult? It’s in those tense moments that remembering makes all the difference. Paul reminds us that calm, kind, and gracious relationships come from remembering who we are, what we were saved from, how we were saved, and why we were saved. When you remember God’s mercy, you begin to mirror it — because grace received must become grace extended.

How do you respond when life feels out of control? Do you panic, lash out, or spiral into worry? Paul wrote Philippians from house arrest, chained to guards and facing an uncertain future—yet his words overflow with joy and peace. Peace is not the absence of problems but the presence of God in the middle of them. When we fix our hearts and minds on Jesus, we can experience peace no matter what circumstances surround us.

In this final message of our Ephesians series, we unpack Ephesians 6:10–20 and discover how to stand firm in a world filled with spiritual pressure, distraction, and attack. You'll learn what it means to recognize the real enemy, rely on God’s strength (not your own), suit up with the right spiritual tools, and stay grounded through prayer. This isn’t about fear—it’s about confidence. Because in Christ, you don’t fight for victory—you fight from it.

Whether you’re feeling weary, overwhelmed, or just trying to stay faithful, this message will equip you to walk boldly in the armor God has already given you.

This week in our Ephesians series, we explore Ephesians 4:17–5:20 and what it means to truly walk in Christ. Paul reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about behavior modification—it’s about identity transformation. When we take off the old self and put on the new, our everyday lives begin to reflect the gospel that has changed us. From how we speak to how we love, from what we pursue to who we imitate, everything begins to shift when Christ is at the center of our walk.

In this final message of our Made for Monday series, we look at Jesus’ first public words in Matthew 4:17—“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” From His first call to His disciples to His radical teachings in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus makes it clear: the Kingdom isn’t just for heaven one day—it’s for earth right now.

This week, we’ll discover how to live as Kingdom people Monday through Saturday. You don’t need a stage or a spotlight—you just need a surrendered heart and a willingness to follow. Because when God reigns in you, His Kingdom shows up through you.

In this kickoff to our Made for Monday series, we dive into James 1:22–27 to discover why Sunday isn’t the goal of your faith—it’s the launchpad. We’re not called to just hear the Word—we’re called to live it. That means how we speak, work, respond, and love on Monday should reflect what we believe on Sunday. This message will challenge you to build a real foundation for your faith—and carry it into the places where it matters most: your job, your home, and your everyday life.

Every Sunday, we come to a table that holds the greatest story ever told—Jesus’ body broken and His blood poured out for us. But over time, even something this holy can become familiar, routine... common. In this message, we slow down, lift "the velvet rope," and rediscover the power, purpose, and privilege of communion. Why do we take it every week? What does it point to? And how can we make sure we never take it for granted again?
We sing, we celebrate, we declare that Jesus is risen—but then life hits. The stress, the doubts, the old habits, the same broken routines. So what if the resurrection was never meant to stay in the church building? What if it was meant to change everything?

Partial Obedience Or Full Surrender

Have you ever convinced yourself that "close enough" was good enough?

In life, we sometimes settle for partial effort — whether it’s cleaning a room, finishing a project, or following God’s commands. But when it comes to our faith, partial obedience can be dangerous. King Saul’s story in 1 Samuel 15 reveals this truth: knowing what God expects, disagreeing with parts of it, and doing just enough to feel okay still falls short. Instead of striving for impossible perfection, God calls us to full surrender — daily submitting our lives, seeking out areas of compromise, and trusting His grace to fill the gaps. Don’t settle for “close enough” in your faith. Choose full surrender and experience the strength that comes when God takes control.

Have you ever found yourself settling for "just enough" in your faith—enough Jesus to feel good, but not enough to be truly transformed?

In a world where "Christian-ish" has become acceptable, many people wear the label of Christianity without truly surrendering to Christ. Jesus warns against lukewarm faith in Revelation 3:15-16, where He tells the church of Laodicea that their half-hearted devotion makes Him sick. The danger of comfortable Christianity is that we can convince ourselves we’re fine—until we realize we’ve been missing out on the full life Jesus offers. In this message, we’ll examine the signs of lukewarm faith, the lies that steal our passion for Christ, and how we can move beyond being "Christian-ish" to fully devoted followers of Jesus.

What kind of friend are you—the one who sticks around when times get tough or the one who disappears when things get messy?

In this sermon, we look at the story of Onesiphorus, a little-known but powerful example of faithful friendship in the Bible. While others abandoned Paul in his darkest moments, Onesiphorus sought him out, encouraged him, and stood by his side. True friendship isn’t just about having fun together—it’s about showing up, supporting, and refreshing one another, just like Jesus does for us. Watch as we explore how God calls us to be the kind of friend who makes a real difference!

The story of Shiphrah and Puah, two Hebrew midwives, reminds us that standing for God’s truth often requires courage in the face of great opposition. These ordinary women found themselves at the center of a king’s ruthless plan, yet they chose to obey God rather than Pharaoh. Their decision not only saved lives but also led to God’s blessing in ways they never expected. How much of what you do is shaped by what you think?

Have you ever stopped to consider how your thoughts influence your choices, actions, and even the direction of your life? In Philippians 4:8-9, Paul urges us to focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy—because our thoughts don’t just stay in our heads; they overflow into our actions. Paul calls us to align our thoughts with God’s truth and put them into action. By filtering our thoughts and focusing on what is righteous, we can set a path where, years from now, we’ll look back and see how God has reshaped us to look more like Jesus.

Have you ever tried to stick with something over the long haul, even when progress felt slow or the finish line seemed far away?

The Christian life is much like that—it’s not a sprint but a marathon. In Philippians 3, Paul challenges us to embrace this 'long obedience in the same direction,' calling us to dissatisfaction with staying the same, focus on what truly matters, direction toward Christ, and unwavering dedication. Just as an athlete presses on toward the goal, we are called to pursue Jesus step by step, trusting that every moment of perseverance draws us closer to the ultimate prize.

How can embracing humility lead to lasting change in your life and relationships?

In Philippians 2:1-8, Paul points us to the example of Jesus, who humbled Himself for the sake of others. This message unpacks how humility isn’t just a virtue but a transformative way of life that deepens your connection with Christ and strengthens your relationships. Together, we’ll explore what it means to put others first, build unity through selflessness, and follow Jesus’ example in a way that leads to lasting spiritual growth.

What’s the most unexpected news you’ve ever received?

Sometimes surprises bring joy; other times, they leave us uncertain or even afraid. The first Christmas was filled with surprises—angels appearing, shepherds running through the night, and the shocking news of a Savior born in a stable.

In this message, we’ll look at Mary’s response when she received life-changing news from the angel Gabriel. Her journey—from confusion to trust, worship, and lifelong faithfulness—teaches us how to respond when God’s plans interrupt our own. No matter where you find yourself this Christmas, Mary’s story invites us to trust God’s bigger plan and embrace His peace.

How can you stay true to your beliefs when the world pulls you in different directions?
In his brief yet powerful letter, Jude warns about leaders who might distort the truth to serve their own agendas. But, in the end, he leaves us with an inspiring message—to keep going, not to give up, and to continue growing in the truth. This message encourages us to stay grounded for the long haul, faithfully committed to being people of truth.

What Happens When You Die?

      <itunes:author>Joe Thompson</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>*We had trouble with our livestream and so we were not able to stream or record the service. This is an audio recording of the sermon so the quality is diminished.*

Every single person will one day die. We don't know when it will be and we don't know how it will happen, but we know for sure, unless Jesus returns first, everyone will die. The question many are left with, is what happens next. Many are confident that they will eventually be with God for eternity, but are unsure what will happen between the moment of my last heartbeat on earth and eternity with God.</itunes:summary>
